Evolution has produced extremely fascinating creatures. It was therefore not easy for the editors to choose the six most amazing animals. Nevertheless, we have created a colorful – and we think – great list. At the top of our list is the chameleon, popular among editors for its adaptability and spectacular “camouflage”.
Husky: Beautiful endurance runner
Also fascinating is the beautiful husky. The magnificent four-legged friend has many outstanding characteristics. For example, the animal manages to run 240 kilometers a day – and that in icy temperatures of over minus 30 degrees Celsius. The dormouse also has something very special up its sleeve: it goes to sleep for a full seven months without waking up or eating. The dromedary is also a little strange. The camel manages to drink 120 liters of water in no less than ten minutes and store it in its humps.
Hummingbird: 80 wing beats per second
In the world of birds, the hummingbird is certainly one of the most amazing animals in the world. The small, mostly colorful flapper man can stand in the air, which is made possible by around 80 wing beats per second. Last but not least, the lungfish is an absolute survivor. The living miracle can survive up to four years without water.
