Baby hippo Obi makes it difficult for viewers not to melt at the sight of him. Tiny, curious and adventurous, it explores the world with its mum and even dares to take its first bath: cute!
Without a doubt, a baby hippo is an adorable little creature, especially when it’s taking its very first swimming lesson, like Little Obi in this video. It’s obvious how much fun he has splashing around: he swims and dives, roams around his mum and keeps sticking his cute hippo face out of the water.
Incidentally, the fact that he doesn’t swim in between, but walks on the bottom of the lake, is not due to a lack of swimming practice: adult hippos also like to dive and often walk under water. Although they’re in the water a lot, they’re not the best swimmers – but the main thing is that it’s fun!
