Lorena Capdevila has turned her hobby into a career. After being passionate about photography all her life, she has been photographing people and animals professionally and in a beautiful atmosphere for four years now. What fascinates her is the spontaneity and humor of the animals. "They never behave as planned," says the wildlife photographer. That's why their work usually consists of 90 percent improvisation and only about 10 percent planning. Her best photos are usually taken when the animals just do what they want, she reveals. So she never knows what to expect at a photo shoot. What an exciting job! Everyday life of an animal photographer At Lorena Capdevila all animals are welcome. Dogs, cats, mice, birds, rodents and many more have already found their way in front of their cameras. For the perfect photo, the photographer first closely observes the behavior of the animals. Her goal is to present her animal photo models as naturally as possible in the photos. In addition, she often encounters surprises in her work. Most recently, they amazed a couple of poodles, who turned out to be extremely cooperative, calm, and friendly. "They were great photo models!" Says the Spaniard enthusiastically. Capdevila: "Animals are not clowns!" Lorena Capdevila loves animals, which have always been an important part of her family. With her pictures she wants to express her close relationship to animals and is therefore pursuing a clear goal with her project Mascotastudios: animals are not clowns and deserve respect. That is why the animal photographs do without costumes and ridiculous poses in their recordings. Even a humanization of animals does not fit into their concept. "Animals are animals," she says, and not only do they deserve their place in society, but they deserve to be shown for who they are.
