Hindu leader Sudhir Suri shot dead in India

Sudhir Suri, 58-year-old radical Hindu leader, was shot dead by two people during protests at the Sikh shrine called the “Golden Temple” in the northern city of Amritsar. Punjab police officer Gaurav Yadav announced that a shopkeeper in the region was detained immediately after the incident.

It was shared that Suri went out of the local temple to protest the desecration of his gods. Sikhs living in India and abroad have previously accused Suri of making derogatory comments about their faith and community.
